      • Hoadedhdhoo School has officially inaugurated its new Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) executive committee for the academic year.

        The special ceremony brought together school administrators, teachers, and parents to welcome the newly elected members. The incoming PTA committee will lead collaborative efforts between families and the school to enhance student development, fundraise for campus projects, and support upcoming educational initiatives.

        The newly elected Vice President of the Hoadedhoo School Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) delivered an inspiring inaugural address, emphasizing that strong parent-teacher relationships are the cornerstone of a holistic learning experience.

        Speaking at the official inauguration ceremony, the Vice President highlighted that a child's education extends far beyond the classroom walls. The address called for a unified partnership where families and educators work hand in hand to nurture both the academic and emotional growth of the students.

        "To foster a truly holistic approach to learning, we must bridge the gap between home and school," the Vice President stated, urging parents to stay actively engaged in school initiatives throughout the academic year.

        "To stop the nationwide, ongoing issue of bullying, parents need to take the initiative instead of asking third parties to fix it," the Vice President stated. The address urged families to actively engage in open dialogues with their children, monitoring behaviors and fostering a home environment that fundamentally rejects bullying.

      • Hoadedhoo School students successfully organized a heartwarming community event, handing over gifts to elderly people on the island as part of their dedicated "Kindness" monthly theme. This initiative highlights the school's commitment to fostering empathy, social responsibility, and intergenerational connections within the local community. This activity was initiated by school Media Club.

      • Our newly elected  School Student Council held a productive general meeting in the school library today along with House inchanges, club association incharges and prefect board Incharges .The student leaders met to coordinate and finalize the  major events on our upcoming school calendar.

        With the first term moving at a rapid pace, the council focused on ensuring high student participation, fair play, and smooth operations across all scheduled activities.

        New Activity Announced: The student council officially voted to include a Mini United Nations (Mini UN) simulation event this year which was not included in the school event calender , alongside  also discussed about a possible badminton tournament

      • The Principal of Hoadedhdhoo School,  has delivered an essential leadership session on "Kindness and Empathy" during the school's Annual Leadership Camp for senior student leaders.

        The targeted session was a keynote feature of the flagship annual event, held as part of the ongoing implementation of "BINGAA,"  the nationwide student character-building and discipline program spearheaded by the Ministry of Education.

        Eliminating Bullying Through Compassion

        During the interactive session, Principal Midhathulla placed a strong emphasis on how cultivating a culture of kindness and empathy directly eliminates bullying behavior within the school community. He highlighted that when student leaders actively practice empathy, they create an inclusive environment where peer isolation and harassment cannot survive.

        Key focus areas of the camp session included:

        • Eradicating Bullying: Teaching leaders how empathetic understanding dismantles aggressive behaviors and promotes mutual respect.

      • HOADEDHDHOO SCHOOL. - Hoadedhoo School has successfully concluded its intensive Leadership Camp 2026 for newly elected senior student leaders.

        The weekend training program targeted the school's prefects, house captains,v.captains, secretaries  and student council members. It focused heavily on team building, public speaking, and project management.

        Developing Essential Skills

        The camp featured various interactive sessions led by experienced educators and community leaders. Students participated in real-world simulation exercises designed to test their problem-solving skills and emotional intelligence.

        Future Events

        The newly trained student leaders will immediately step into their roles to organize the upcoming Inter-House tournaments later this month

        Without the immense dedication of the student's families. Parents actively contributed by managing logistics, preparing nutritious meals, and providing moral support throughout the rigorous sessions.

        Officers from the Madaveli Police Station played a central role in the camp's practical modules. They led energetic team-building exercises and leadership drills designed to foster discipline, strategic thinking, and mutual trust among the student leaders

      • The campus of Hoadedhdhoo School was transformed into a color of excitement yesterday as students and staff gathered to celebrate Children’s Day 2026.In a departure from the daily routine, students arrived in colorful casual wear, adding to the festive atmosphere.

        Stalls for Respective Key StagesA major highlight of the day was the "Activity Plaza," where dedicated stalls were meticulously planned to cater to the specific interests and developmental levels of each Key Stage. This age-appropriate approach ensured every student found something engaging.

        The Key Stage-specific stalls made the day much more organized. Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, students are  able to tailor experiences that truly resonate with each child's current learning journey.

      •  In a significant step toward educational equity, the Department of Inclusive Education (DoIE) has launched a specialized workshop for secondary mathematics teachers in Gaafu Alifu (GA) and Gaafu Dhaalu (GDh) atolls.

        The program, titled "Capacity Building of Secondary Mathematics Teachers in Teaching Students with Complex Learning Profiles," is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Education,  and the Atoll Education Development Project (AEDP).

        Key Highlights of the Training

        The workshop focuses on transforming traditional math instruction into an inclusive experience, specifically targeting:

        • Targeted Support for Diverse Learners: Educators are being trained in tailored strategies for students with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and dyscalculia.
        • Universal Design for Learning (UDL): Teachers are learning to create flexible lesson plans that provide all students—regardless of their learning profile—equal opportunities to succeed in complex mathematical concepts.
        • From Rules to Reasoning: Moving beyond the "blind application of rules," the sessions emphasize visualization, tangibility, and symbolization to build true mathematical thinking.
        • Productive Struggle: A core focus is helping students develop thinking skills by "grappling" with challenging problems rather than just memorizing answers.

      • Two members of the Hoadedhdhoo School Senior Management Team (SMT) participated in a specialized awareness session on the School Improvement, Quality Assurance and Accountability Framework (SIQAAF) held recently at Aboobakuru School in GDh. Thinadhoo.

        The session, organized by the Quality Assurance Department (QAD), focused on equipping school leaders with the tools needed to implement the revised Self-Evaluation Toolkit. By attending,  Hoadedhdhoo SMT members joined colleagues from across the  Huvadhoo atoll ( GA, GDH) to learn how to better monitor teaching standards, student progress, and overall school performance.

        This training is part of a broader national effort to shift school management toward a culture of continuous self-improvement and transparency. The knowledge gained by the Hoadedhdhoo representatives will be vital in aligning the school’s strategic goals with the Ministry’s new quality standards.

      • Hoadedhdhoo School Grade 7 Students Lead "Bingaa" Assembly on Respect

      • Grade 7 Student's of Hoadedhdhoo School organized a special assembly  centered on the theme for April: "Respectful Behaviour."

        The assembly aimed to instill core moral values and positive character traits among the student body, aligning with the Ministry’s 2026 initiative to revive Maldivian heritage and social etiquette (Adhabu).

        The "Bingaa" program, launched earlier this year by the Ministry of Education, continues to roll out monthly themes across all Maldivian schools. The initiative is designed to ensure that the next generation grows up with a strong foundation of kindness, responsibility, and religious values.

        School officials noted that student-led activities like this assembly are vital for turning abstract values into daily habits within the school community

      • Hoadedhdhoo School Students and staff gathered today for a special assembly to mark World Autism Awareness Day 2026, joining a global movement to celebrate neurodiversity under the United Nations theme: "Autism and Humanity – Every Life Has Value".

        The assembly featured several student-led initiatives designed to foster a more supportive environment:

        • Celebrating Strengths: Speakers highlighted that autism is a different way of experiencing the world rather than a limitation, focusing on the unique talents and perspectives neurodiverse individuals bring to the community.
        • Informational Displays: students presented information on boards, to share important information on Autism, and had a special photo sessions

      • The Ministry of Education has officially launched a nationwide Professional Development (PD) initiative for the 2026 academic year, with a heavy emphasis on future-proofing the classroom through Artificial Intelligence (AI).Hoadedhdhoo School teachers also actively participated in this program.

        Goal: The initiative aims to upgrade skills to meet evolving educational needs and enhance student learning outcomes.

        The sessions, which kicked off for thousands of educators across the Maldives, mark a strategic shift toward digital transformation in the local education sector.

      • The classrooms of Hoadedhdhoo School have undergone a vibrant transformation as students, teachers, and parents joined forces for a major renovation and painting event. The initiative, aimed at revitalizing the learning environment for the new academic year, turned the school into a hub of community activity over the weekend.

        Parents and school employees traded their daily routines for overalls and paint rollers, working side-by-side to refresh the interior and exterior of the classroom blocks. The project focused on more than just aesthetics; it aimed to create a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters student engagement and pride.

         

      • Hoadedhdhoo School Launches 2025 Annual Magazine Ethereal Echoes

      • The much-awaited annual school magazine, Ethereal Echoes was officially launched.  It was launched  in the school Assembly . The ceremony was attended by the entire student body and faculty, marking the culmination of a year-long creative journey.

        Digital version is available in School webpage ( Hoadedhdhooschool.edupage.org). The hard Copy is avaible in school library. As this is the first annual megazine, editorial team is excited to make 2026 megazine a better and  more informative. 

        The batch of 2025 made a tremendouse effort to make this possible,The school acknowledges their hard work despite having a busy academic year as they were preparing for O level exams, they managed to make this dream real.

      • Thalassemia Screening to Grade 8-10 Students was carried out in school

      • The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Maldivian Blood Services (MBS), has significantly scaled its national thalassemia screening program.  The initiative, which originally launched in February 2024 at Arabiyya School. The program aims to help families fulfill the Thalassemia Prevention Law of 2012, which mandates that children must be tested for carrier status before the age of 18.

        This school-based screening is a pillar of the government's 10-Year National Master Plan on Thalassemia (2024-2034), launched by Vice President Uz. Hussain Mohamed Latheef.

      • MNDF has conducted fire awareness session for Students, teacher and Parents

      • Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) has commenced its annual fire prevention week, an awareness drive conducted by its fire and rescue department in anticipation for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan. The drive will be held from 31 January till 7 February.

        Fire awareness session for our School was conducted on 1st February 2026. Students from Grade 6-10 , Teachers and parents took part in this important session. 

        Under this initiative, information was disseminated on common cases of fire incidents, including those that start from short electric circuits or incidents within the kitchen. Safety protocols and emergency procedures are provided to participants for such cases.

      • 1st General Parent meeting for the academic year 2026 held in School

      • On January 27, 2026, Hoadedhdhoo School  held its first General Parent Meeting of the year, bringing together the school administration, faculty, and f guardians to align on goals for the newly commenced academic cycle. 

        The meeting, occurring just  official start of the school year on January 27, served as a platform for the school to outline its vision for 2026

        • Behavioral Expectations: Special focus was placed on attendance and the school’s dress code for  students.
